One of the most moving videos I have seen in a very long time…

Life has a way of weighing on us through the tragedies of death, disease, and loss.  Many feel the great burdens of unemployment and insecurity.  In time all of mankind feel the great weights of living placed upon our shoulders and at times the great terror of being unable to bare the burden becomes overwhelming.

In my life when the challenges and trials of living seem too much, or weigh heavy on my mind and soul I am reminded of the comforting words of the Savior, Jesus Christ, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” and also “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” [John 14]

Not only has the Lord and His teaching brought great comfort to my life, but He has also offered the peace that comes from the Comforter, or the Holy Ghost [John 14:26].  The Holy Ghost brings great peace into my life and joy as it teaches and reminds me of the powerful actions of Christ’s Atonement.

I hope this message reaches you well and that the power of Jesus Christ’s Atonement penetrates into your heart and mind.

The LDS website just released a new sub-site around the concept of “Finding Hope“. I think it is a powerful way to express the blessings coming from placing faith in Jesus Christ and allowing His love to help us get through all experiences in life.  I know in my life, finding hope has been essential to find peace and lasting peace only comes from Jesus Christ.

In addition to video, the new site contains 3 common questions and many additional resources.  The major questions answered are:

1. What is Hope?
2. How Can Hope Help Me?
3. What Do I Need to Do to Have Hope?

Besides answers to these important and common questions, additional resources like scriptures, music, images, and lessons on hope are all available as a wonderful source of inspiration.  You can also read about other peoples experiences or testimonies and contribute your own.  Finding Hope is a wonderful resource on learning more about how the Savior can help us.
