One of the most moving videos I have seen in a very long time…

Life has a way of weighing on us through the tragedies of death, disease, and loss.  Many feel the great burdens of unemployment and insecurity.  In time all of mankind feel the great weights of living placed upon our shoulders and at times the great terror of being unable to bare the burden becomes overwhelming.

In my life when the challenges and trials of living seem too much, or weigh heavy on my mind and soul I am reminded of the comforting words of the Savior, Jesus Christ, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” and also “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” [John 14]

Not only has the Lord and His teaching brought great comfort to my life, but He has also offered the peace that comes from the Comforter, or the Holy Ghost [John 14:26].  The Holy Ghost brings great peace into my life and joy as it teaches and reminds me of the powerful actions of Christ’s Atonement.

I hope this message reaches you well and that the power of Jesus Christ’s Atonement penetrates into your heart and mind.

The Power to Create is the Most God-like Ability Within Us All

The ability to “create” does not need to come in the form of art, music or scrap booking!  Instead all of us have the power to create something beautiful and unique within us.  For some the creation of words through writing, speech, or poetry offer valuable tools of creation.

For some it will be our ability to create:

• meaningful relationships
• family traditions
• peaceful homes
• new ideas
• a smile
• a testimony

The list can be long and varied based upon each one of our unique lives.  Our talents and methods for creation are as varied as we are from person to person.  We must never compare our tools of creation with someone else.  Creation does take time, effort and passion to create something truly beautiful.

Eyring encourages all of us to find out who and what we serve.  As we realize our desire to serve the Lord, He will bless us with the ability to overcome laziness, apathy, and hardships.  The choice to serve brings peace of mind and conscience to all those who willingly build the kingdom of God by touching the hearts of others.
